Overview
The Judith Wiley Trail is a lovely walk with a circular loop at the end, for a round trip of ¾ mile. This property is directly across the street from Brook Hollow. Immediately after you enter the trail at Frankland Road, notice the field of pachysandra just to the left of the trail. This is an incredibly hardy plant that you don’t see often in the woods–it probably escaped from a nearby yard. There are a number of loops in addition to the main trail. The main trail, as well as the spurs, end at private property.
After walking this trail you can go a couple hundred feet west on Frankland Road to the Susan DeGozzaldi Trail at Brook Hollow.

History
Wiley Woods was the Trust’s first acquisition. Ron Roux, the developer of several subdivisions in Hopkinton, donated 15.88 acres of open space to the Trust and a conservation restriction on the land to the Sudbury Valley Trustees. The Trust named the property and the trail for Judith Wiley, who served on the Hopkinton Planning Board for many years and guided it as chairman. She was an ardent, early supporter of the Trust.
The trail was designed and developed by a Boy Scout, Todd Wilson, as his Eagle Badge public service project.
