Hello! My name is Elyse Cartmell, and I am absolutely honored to have been selected by HALT to receive a charity bib for the 2024 Boston Marathon!! It is such a privilege to be raising funds for HALT, and the community where this legendary race starts (along with celebrating the 100th anniversary of the start line in Hopkinton). Running the iconic Boston Marathon has been on my bucket list for years! I have had the amazing opportunity to run 5 of the 6 World Marathon Majors, and am thrilled to complete my 6th World Marathon Major at Boston!!
I would love to share a little bit of my story with you! I was born and raised (and still live) in the San Francisco Bay Area. I began working in commercial real estate in 2003, and since 2011, have been working at Swift Real Estate Partners. In 2012, I ran my first half marathon, and in 2015, I ran my first full marathon. I have a solid history of fundraising , and for the past 12 years, I have been partnering with Team World Vision where I have been able to integrate my passion for running, along with my heart to bring awareness and help provide access to clean water for children in Africa. I have participated and helped organize over 20 events with Team World Vision (ranging from half marathons, 6k for Water, and marathons (combined these events have raised nearly $350k).
I am counting down the days until the Boston Marathon, and can’t wait to meet the amazing Hopkinton community on race weekend!
