Welcome to the Mighton Woods Forest Trail Walk

This easy-walking, informative walk consists of 14 stops along the 1.6-mile loop from North Mill Street to East Street and back. Each stop has a QR code that you can access with your Smartphone, which links to information about the interesting sights you can see around as you complete this trail. Please enjoy!

History

The Mighton Woods Trail is named after Karl Mighton who was a beloved member of the Hopkinton Area Land Trust who passed away in 2005. The land that the Mighton Woods Trail sits on is 52 acres in size, and was donated to the Hopkinton Area Land Trust by developer Ron Roux. The area surrounding Mighton Woods was once part of the North Mill Complex. Next to the carpark near the bridge on North Mill Street is a plaque that was erected by the Hopkinton Historical Commission, describing the mill’s history.
