Darlene McCormack was a long-time resident of Hopkinton interested in planning and conservation. She joined with the other founders to start the Hopkinton Area Land Trust in 1995. As a Director, she was an active participant in the early activities of the Trust. After a few years, Darlene decided to depart Hopkinton and the Trust for greener pastures in Vermont in 1998.
Darlene attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 1976 to 1980 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering. She attended Babson College in Wellesley from 1988 to 1990 and graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
In Waitsfield, Vermont she started the Mad River Web in November 1998 and is still there. Mad River Web is now a well-established website design company in the Mad River Valley and surrounding communities.
